Indepentent Contractors Can Have A Sep Ira Too.
I am an independent contract writer and was very glad to learn I can set up a Sep Ira and build a retirement income just like a company does. Just like the companies I can defer some of my taxes on income until I retire or am forced by the plan to start withdrawing the contributions to the plan. It is a lot easier to set up than I imagined it would be. sep ira make it easy for someone like me (who is independent and doesn’t work for someone else) to be able to have a pension plan too. I like it.
