Religious Vs. Secular Homeschool Curriculum

There is not that much difference between a religious and a secular homeschool curriculum.  Both have to adhere to the state guidelines when it comes to teaching the basic concepts of math, science and English.  As is the case of religious schools, religion is usually an added part of the curriculum.  Religious theories may also be incorporated into the learning curriculum but the concepts are usually the same.  In a secular homeschool curriculum, religion does not usually play a part.  A secular homeschool curriculum mirrors that of a public school.  More time is spent on traditional learning than religious concepts.  However, unlike in a public school setting, each student can learn at his or her own pace.
