Don’t Get Caught By Phishing Fraud

When my credit card statement showed some discrepancies, I immediately contacted them and asked them not to process any transactions and block the account immediately. Upon investigation, it was found that someone had got my credit card number from phishing fraud at one of the sites I have been using for shopping online and was misusing the same.

Thankfully, my credit card company reversed the amount to me. I also thank my luck that I had the foresight to immediately call them and ask them to stop transactions.

If you have a slightest doubt about your bank account or your credit card statement, even before you go through the statement again, call the bank or the credit card company to stop transactions until further notice. This will ensure you will not be cheated any more than what you already have.
