Customer Service Training

Having earned a degree in business, I thought I was ready to tackle the big, bad world of corporate nation. In a way, I was. My schooling taught me how to set up businesses, how to run businesses, and how to help others run their businesses. As I got out into the real world however, I learned quick one area of business they don’t teach you in college… the importance of customer service training.

All the textbooks and lectures in the world can’t adequately prepare you for the real-live customer. It’s a person-to-person relationship that can’t be scripted, only learned through experience and great training.

Nissan Automotive Software

Are there any good Diagnostic or Data Logging Automotive Software programs available for the Nissan Sentra? I have a ‘04 model with a 4 cylinder engine. I am looking into checking to make sure my car is running alright without making the expensive trip to a garage for them to use their machines. So it would be even better if the automotive diagnostic software was low cost or no cost. I have no issues using open source software, in fact I am a regular user of Mozilla Firefox and have tinkered with Linux in the past. Hope to hear from some of you soon.

What Is Vanity Press?

A vanity publisher or vanity press is basically a publishing house that publishes books at the expense of the author. One of the most admired print on demand companies is Vanity press.

A vanity press is easily distinguishable from a smaller press publisher. In such a case the smaller press usually functions as its bigger cousins. They would normally carry out activity such as review, binding, marketing and also carry out the conventional roles of editorial selection, at its own cost, instead of making the author do all such expenses.

Usually, a vanity press will only agree to bind and print if the author is prepared to make payment for the service provided.

My Personal Experience With Bank Check Processing

I’ve decided to start accepting checks at my business - that means learning about
Bank Check Processing. Always another hassle.
I’ve been searching all over the net for information on
Electronic Check Payment Processing. What a hassle. Still, I hope avoiding credit card fees on some purchases will make it worthwhile.
The hassles of owning a business never seem to end, but hopefully it will pay off in the end.
I’ll keep you posted.

What is a Retail Store Franchise?

Basically, a retail store franchise is created by a business owner that has a proven track record of making a profit.  The retail store franchise is literally a set of plans that other business owners can follow in order to replicate the original entrepreneurs success. When you buy into a franchise, you will have a number of benefits that the original owner did not have.  Among other things, if the original business has gained a significant amount of recognition, your new store can capitalize on that reputation.  As an example, the first Dunkin' Donuts store had to be built from scratch.  On the other hand, if you open a Dunkin' Donuts today, almost everyone that enjoys their products will patronize your new store.

Where Do I Get the Money to Take Part in a Low Cost Franchise?

Unless you have several thousand dollars in savings, it is not  likely you will be able to buy into the low cost franchise, plus build your store, and conduct your business.  As a result, you will need to obtain startup and operations capital from a bank or other lender.  In some cases, the SBA will guarantee part of your loan, and make it easier for the bank to approve your application.   Unfortunately, if you do not factor interest rates, bank fees, merchant account fees, and other loan fees into your plans, you may well find that you will not have enough money to operate your business, thus guaranteeing its failure.

I wonder how many people put vending machines in their homes.

My daughter spent the night with a friend recently. When she came home, she told me that they had a vending machine in their house. I thought she would go on to explain that one of the parents had a vending business and the machine was in need of repair… or something along those lines. Instead, she told me that the parents were tired of their children's friends taking one sip from a soda and leaving the can sit to be dumped out later. I, too, was tired of walking through the house, collecting pop cans that were nearly full, and dumping perfectly good soda out into the sink. Those people had a great idea. Kids may not waste a can of soda if they had to pay for it. And if they do waste it, it's no money out of the pockets of the parents who provided the soda for them. I wonder how many people put vending machines in their homes. I'm sure this couple is not the only one who dealt with this problem in this manner.

The hardware makes the difference

I knew that I needed a new point-of-sale system, and I was very happy with the software that I was using, but what I wanted was some better hardware for the POS system, and so I decided to take some professional advice before I made the decision myself and make a bad decision. In the end, I was glad that I took some professional advice, because it made the choice of hardware much easier, and I am pretty sure that I made the right decision because the hardware that I chose has been a really good job, and has made my life much easier, especially when it comes to customer billing.
