What Children’s Book Publishing Companies Want?

It is very important that a children's writer understand the needs of the publisher so that he is able to deliver the kind of work that can be easily accepted by any of the children's book publishing companies. A publisher would only accept a manuscript that adheres to the current market trends and is therefore easily sellable. A strong and gripping plot, perfect language, well knit structure and correct words is all that a publisher wants. They usually give chance to a new author only if they see that the person has the potential to deliver repetitive hits.
